Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Moonwhale Cove (“the Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

Moonwhale Cove lets you read, organise, translate, and share translated fiction. Some features use third-party AI providers via an API key you supply.

2. Your content

You are responsible for the text and files you import, translate, and publish. You confirm that you have the right to use that content and that doing so does not infringe anyone’s copyright or other rights. All translated content belongs to its respective authors.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to infringe intellectual property rights, to process unlawful content, or to violate the terms of any third-party AI provider you connect. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

4. AI translation and third parties

AI features rely on third-party providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) using your own API key. Their services are governed by their terms, and any costs you incur with them are your responsibility. Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors; we make no warranty as to accuracy.

5. Shells and purchases

Shells are a virtual currency used within the Service to unlock premium chapters and trade. Shell packs are one-time purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal.

• Prices may vary by region and may change with notice.
• Shells and unlocked content have no cash value and are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service working but provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Features may change or be discontinued.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
